Grandpa Rocks! Soapstone Paperweight Heart

Anyone who’s been blessed with a good Grandpa knows that he’s a treasure beyond measure. Kenyan artisans hand carve our Celebration heart paperweights from soft soapstone, then add a bright dyed finish and a “Grandpa Rocks” hand etched inscription.

Sold singly. Because each heart is handcrafted, slight variations are normal.

About the Artisans:

Soapstone is mined in Kisii county in southwestern Kenya. We work with three different artisan groups in and around Nairobi who carve, polish and paint the stone to create beautiful pieces.
